Bharti Airtel announced the launch of high speed 4G services in 296 towns of India. As per the company, at present 4G services are available on mobile phones, dongles, 4G hotspots and wi-fi dongles.
Airtel launched 4G services on trial basis in April 2012. Cities which are at present covered under the 4G services includes, Ambala, Amritsar, Aurangabad, Bangalore, Bathinda, Bhubaneswar, Chandigarh, Chennai, Vasai-Virar-Nalasopara, Vellore, Visakhapatnam, Yamunanagar, Rourkela, Shillong, Tiruchirappalli, Tumkur, Udupi, Panipat, Patiala, Phagwara, Pune, Rohtak, Mysore, Nagpur, Nasik, Noida, Panchkula, Mangalore, Manipal, Moga, Mohali, Mumbai, Kapurthala, Karnal, Kolkata, Ludhiana, Madurai, Hissar, Hoshiarpur, Hubli, Hyderabad, Jalandhar, Delhi, Dharwad, Faridabad, Gaziabad, Gurgaon, Coimbatore and Cuttack.
As per Airtel, you can get the same data benefits as your 3G pack and enjoy superfast 4G speeds at no extra cost.
Airtel also introduced unlimited post paid and pre paid plans in which you can get unlimited voice calls, data pack, movies and music. Customers can visit any of the airtel store to have a demo of the 4G services.
They have also launched Flexpage, an automated technology for consumers to track data usage.

We are also waiting for Reliance Jio to launch its 4G services in India. As per media report, we are expecting them to launch it by December 2015.
