Freshdesk acquires and their team

Live video chat and co-browsing platform, 1CLICK has announced that it has been acquired by Chennai based Freshdesk for an undisclosed amount.

Post acquisition, 1CLICK’s webRTC based platform will be integrated with the Freshdesk customer support software to add capabilities like co-browse, video and voice chat with customers online. The entire 1CLICK team will be joining Freshdesk.

1CLICK also confirmed that existing customers will continue to serve through their current terms of service. Freshdesk is committed to supporting 1CLICK’s existing customers.

Recently in April, Freshdesk has raised US$ 50 million from Tiger Global along with Accel Partners and Google Capital.

Earlier to that in June 2014, it had also raised US$ 31 million from existing investor Tiger Global and participation from existing investors Accel Partners and Google Capital.

Freshdesk is a cloud-based customer support platform which enables businesses to support its customers through email, phone, website and forums, facebook and Twitter.

As per Freshdesk, their business has scaled to over 500 people across four offices – San Francisco, London, Sydney, and Chennai.

Girish Mathrubootham, founder and CEO of Freshdesk, said “The acquisition will help us expand our product’s functionality and allow our customers to provide better real-time support through video chat, voice chat, and co-browsing. This means, eventually, support agents will be able to view the customer’s screen and interact with it in real-time, on a web page, while chatting with the customer through video/live chat.”
