Google has announced that on August 1st they will start to shut down Google+ Photos, initially on Android, and soon thereafter on the Web and iOS.
In May this year they launched Google Photos in which users can store unlimited high quality photos and videos for free. Now they are requesting users to switch to this new Google Photos application.
The company assures that all photos and videos will be saved and available after the switch to new application. Users by using the new application can take backups, edit and share their photos and videos.
If users don’t switch to the new application then Google+ photos on android will soon stop working.
The new application required android 4.0 or higher version to work. We suggest users to download the new application for uninterrupted access to your photos and videos.
