Practo raises USD 30 million from Sequoia Capital and Matrix partners

Bangalore based Practo has raised USD 30 million in series B funding from Sequoia capital and Matrix partners. Last time in 2012, they have raised INR 25 crores from Sequoia Capital.

With this new funding, company will expand their reach to 35 cities in India and will open international locations. They are also planning to increase the team size from 600 Practeons today to more than 1500 by December 2015.


As claimed by the company, their search portal gets over 4 million searches every month, and 1.5 million monthly users. They have 120 thousand doctors registered. Their online software Practo Ray is used by 30 thousand doctors. At present the company has presence in Bangalore, Delhi, Kolkata, Pune, Chennai, Hyderabad Mumbai, Singapore and Phillipines.

Practo is helping doctors and health care centers to keep patient record through their online software Practo Ray. Website helps patient to find doctors and book appointments through an online interface.

Shashank ND and Abhinav Lal founded Practo in 2008. Recently both of them placed in Forbes India’s 30 Under 30 list.
