SBI launches State Bank Buddy, Mobile Wallet App

Country’s largest PSU bank, State Bank of India (SBI) has launched a mobile wallet app, State Bank Buddy in collaboration with Accenture and Mastercard.

As per SBI, with State Bank Buddy, users can simply send or ask money from any of your contacts even if they do not have an SBI account. Users can also pay bills, recharge mobile/ DTH, book movie/ flight/bus tickets 24×7 on the move.

Users can add money to the Wallet account by using debit cards, net banking and IMPS with any bank.

State Bank Buddy supports 12 indian languages including Assamese, Bengali, English, Gujarati, Hindi, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, Oriya, Punjabi, Tamil, Telugu, and Urdu. At present State Bank Buddy is available on Android OS.

As per the SBI, if users are logging into the App by using their Facebook credentials then the application will automatically be prefilled details in the State Bank Buddy wallet creation form as per the Facebook profile. The application is hosted on the secure environment of SBI and is extremely safe.

Right now SBI in association with Makemytrip offers 15% cashback up to a maximum amount of INR 1500 on domestic flight bookings and 50% cashback up to a maximum limit of INR 2500 on domestic hotel bookings. Offer valid from 18th august 2015 to 7th September 2015.
