Online e-commerce player, Snapdeal, has acquired Hyderabad based Martmobi for an undisclosed amount. Martmobi helps vendors to build mobile application and sites.
Snapdeal says the acquisition will help them to focus on creating interfaces that enhance customer and seller experience on its mobile platforms. The company already gets over 75% of its sales via mobile based transactions.
Matmobi was founded by Pramod Nair and Sathya Krishna Ganni. In 2014, MartMobi was also among the ten tech startups across the globe to be shortlisted for Techstars – one of the world’s most recognized accelerator program.
This year Snapdeal acquired FreeCharge, a leading mobile transactions platform of India.
