India’s largest automobile company, Tata Motors Limited has announced a growth of 8% in its global wholesales in December 2014 over December 2013. Including Jaguar Land Rover’s sale, group’s global wholesale figure in December 2014 was at 85742 nos.
However, cumulative wholesale of Tata group for this fiscal year were at 713530 numbers, lower by 5% over last fiscal year.
The company’s domestic sales of Tata commercial and passenger vehicles for December 2014 were 37,776 numbers, a growth of 8% over 35,010 vehicles, sold in December 2013.
Cumulative sales (including exports) for the company for the fiscal are 362,995 numbers, lower by 17% over 435,079 vehicles, sold last fiscal year.
In case of all passenger vehicles, global whole sale figure of Tata group in December 2014 were at 55145 numbers and for the whole fiscal year, the cumulative number were 436315 numbers.
Compare to last December 2013, global wholesale figures has gone up by 11%. Similarly in comparison to whole fiscal year, sale for all passenger vehicles has gone up by 4% over last fiscal.
Global wholesales for Jaguar Land Rover for the month were 42,962 vehicles, a growth of 7%, over December 2013. Jaguar wholesales for the month were 6,816 vehicles and cumulative wholesales were 56,418 vehicles, while Land Rover wholesales for the month were 36,146 vehicles and cumulative wholesales were 284,900 vehicles. Cumulative wholesales for Jaguar Land Rover for this fiscal were at 341,318 vehicles, higher by 10%, over last fiscal.
Tata Motors’ global wholesales for passenger vehicles in December 2014 were at 12,183 numbers, higher by 29% in comparison to December 2013. Cumulative wholesales for the fiscal year were at 94,997 numbers, lower by 13%, compared to last year’s figure.
Cumulative sales of all passenger vehicles in the domestic market for the fiscal are 92,227 numbers, lower by 11% over last fiscal year.
Tata motors limited has global operations in UK, South Korea, Thailand, South Africa and Indonesia. Tata cars, buses and trucks are being marketed in several countries in Europe, Africa, the Middle East, South Asia, South East Asia, South America, CIS and Russia.
