Tirupati Balaji temple located in Tirumala hills is believed to be constructed in the year 1570. It’s one of the richest temples earning revenue through daily offerings by devotees.
Tirumala is around 18-20 kilometers from Tirupati main city. If you wants to visit Tirupati Balaji Temple then first you need to reach Tirupati city which is in Chittor district of Andhra Pradesh (Now in Seemandhra state ) and then you can take a bus to Tirumala.
Buses to Tirumala are available 24/7 in every 2 minutes except between 12 AM to 3 AM. Instead of taking a bus you can climb up Tirumala hills by the well built walkway from Alipiri. It takes minimum 3 hours to reach top of the hill. You have canteen, rest house, drinking waters and other facilities throughout the walkway.
Tirupati is well connected to all major cities of India including Delhi, Chennai, Mumbai, Bangalore and Hyderabad.
How to reach Tirupati from Bangalore
From Bangalore central you can catch a train to Tirupati. To get a confirmation you have to book your ticket at least before a month or else it’s difficult to get a reservation.
If you do not get a train confirmation then you can catch a KSRTC Bus from Bangalore main bus stand which is just in front of the railway station. Private buses are also available for booking.
How to reach Tirupati from Chennai
Channai Central railway station has daily trains to Tirupati. Like we said before, to get a confirmation you have to book tickets at least before a month.
Tamilnadu public transport corporation and APSRTC operate bus services from Chennai to Tirupati. You can catch these buses from koyembedu Bus station in Chennai.
You can also take a flight to tirupati and then from their travel to tirumala to have darshan. Tirupati Airport is in Ranigunta which is 15 kms away from the main city. Taxi services are available from the airport to city.
If you are in Andhra then you can take APSRTC busses to Tirupati. APSRTC has connected all most all cities to tirupati.
