WIPRO digital to acquire Designit for Rs 595 Crore

Wipro Digital, the digital business unit of Wipro Limited has announced its intention to acquire Designit for EURO 85 million (Rs 595 crore or USD 94 million).

Designit is a global strategic design firm specializing in designing transformative product-service experiences. WIPRO said that this acquisition will enable it to evolve its go-to-market digital offerings.


Designit is founded in the year 1991 in Aarhus, Denmark. It employs more than 300 people in its nine offices globally.

The acquisition is subject to customary closing conditions and regulatory approvals and is expected to be closed in the current quarter.

In the year 2014 Wipro acquired Atco I-tek for USD195 million and in 2013 Opus CMC for USD 75 million. Other acquisitions of Wipro includes Promax Application Group, SAIC’s oil & gas technology business, Infocrossing Inc, cMango Inc, Enabler and NewLogic.
