Chinese Smartphone maker, Xiaomi has dropped the price of Redmi 2 by Rs 1000 from its earlier price of Rs 6999. Earlier they have dropped the price of Redmi Note 4G by Rs 2000 and Mi 4 price by Rs 5000.
You can buy Redmi 2 from Amazon India or Flipkart for Rs 5999 starting today. It’s now available in grey and white variants.
Xiaomi Redmi 2 Smartphone comes with 4.70-inch (11.93 centimeters) IPS HD capacitive touchscreen with 720×1280 display and 312 ppi pixel density.
The Redmi 2 is powered by MIUI 6, the latest version of the company’s operating system based on Android 4.4 KitKat.
Redmi 2 is powered by 1.2GHz MSM8916 Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 processor, Adreno 306 GPU, alongside 1GB RAM, 8GB internal memory which is expandable up to 32GB by using a microSD card and dual SIM (GSM+GSM). Redmi 2 runs on 4G LTE.
The phone packs in a removable 2,200mAh lithium-polymer battery that would easily last for a full working day with average usage.
Redmi 2 sports an 8MP primary camera with an LED flash and 2MP front facing camera. The 3.5mm audio jack is located along the top edge, while the Micro-USB port if found on the bottom right edge of the phone.
